Waterside Upmarket is an award-winning outdoor market located in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, set against the stunning backdrop of the River Avon and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Trading every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from March to December, the market features over 90 high-quality artisan traders offering a diverse range of products including handmade crafts, jewellery, clothing, artwork, street food, and speciality goods. The market attracts a vibrant mix of local residents and tourists, contributing significantly to the town’s visitor economy and independent retail offer.

To celebrate Love Your Local Market, we will be embracing this year’s theme, “Made by Markets”, by highlighting the creativity, passion and entrepreneurial spirit of our traders. On Sunday 17th May, the market will be dressed with official LYLM branded decorations to create a strong visual presence and celebratory atmosphere on site.

In addition, we will be delivering a targeted social media campaign across our platforms, showcasing trader stories, behind-the-scenes content and customer engagement, encouraging visitors to support their local market and the small businesses that make it thrive. Traders will also be invited to take part in promotional photography and content to further amplify the campaign.

Through these activities, we aim to celebrate the vital role markets play in supporting local communities, nurturing independent businesses, and creating vibrant, welcoming spaces for all.
