Swaffham Market

Swaffham Market

Market Pl, Swaffham PE37, UK

Swaffham’s Market is a vital part of the town today as it was in the 13th century.  Over 30 stalls attend each Saturday outside or within the Assembly Rooms with an extensive range of goods on offer.  The auction bell rings at 11am to start the weekly auction which is a great asset to the market.

To celebrate LYLM we are organising live music from the iconic Buttercross the first Saturdays of May, June, July and August.  Local businesses around the town centre are brightening up the town centre with beautiful planters.  The town council have worked with local craft groups who have been busy knitting or felting spring flowers.  These have been used to decorate the 16th century Buttercross.  Poppies are being prepared in readiness for the D-Day anniversary.

We also have a LYM selfie boards!
