Shirehampton Markets is a non-profit community organisation run by volunteers and part of Shirehampton Community Action Forum (SCAF). Without their help Shirehampton Markets would not exist.

We began our regular monthly High Street Market in September 2019 and it continues to grow from strength to strength providing North West Bristol with a unique market experience that is loved by many due to it’s friendly community atmosphere as well as supporting small local businesses.

You will find a selection of gorgeous food to eat in or take away, creative arts and crafts products, homeware, personal care, clothing, garden & house plants to buy, in fact many things not available on our own High Street. A couple community stalls join us each month, that provide a variety of services and information to the area from health, wellbeing, nature and money saving ideas. We are very much a ‘market family’ that look out for each other and support each other, sharing laughter and life experiences. Our High Street Markets are disability and family friendly too. We believe in a warm welcome where our Market Kitchen provide refreshments and delicious homemade cakes made by Sherralee and you are greeted with a warm smile and kind words.

During the school holidays we run an arts and craft activity as well as board games, colouring books, High Street Character Hunt and face painting activities for all ages. Sometimes we have guest craft activities when it’s not the school holidays and every year Father Christmas does his Christmas shopping at our Christmas market and is happy to chat with customers and have photos taken with him.

Each month we celebrate ‘love your local market’ as many of our customers mark our High Street Markets in their calendars. It is one day a month they look forward to where they can meet up with friends and family, buy and eat tasty food and treat themselves to something special from one or several of our market traders as well as stock up on much needed items that day and gifts for special celebrations. Our market traders love returning to our High Street Market each month because of the friendly atmosphere and catch up with their regular customers who also pop by for a chat. They feel very much part of our local community.

Our High Street Markets are held on the first Thursday of each month from 10am until 3pm at the Tithe Barn, High Street, Shirehampton, Bristol, BS11 0DE.

Each High Street Market has the community in mind and provides small local businesses a place to thrive and grow whilst providing unique, bespoke items made with TLC and not available in main stream shops. We look forward to seeing you soon.
