Shepton Mallet is a historic market town in Somerset which has hosted weekly markets since 1318. Shepton Mallet Market is open every Friday, from 9am-3pm.

Shepton Mallet Market is part of the Mendip Markets, which are organised and managed by Somerset Council. Mendip Markets run weekly markets in Frome, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Steet and Wells.

Mendip Markets will be taking part in the Love Your Local Market (LYLM) fortnight by touring a LYLM banner to all five markets across Somerset. This is to celebrate our traders, their produce and the markets’ importance within local communities.
