Saffron Walden has been a market town since 1141, winning NABMA Best small market award in 2021, Small market team of the year and Market manager of the
year in 2022. The market takes place in the Market Square twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Tuesdays has a traditional feel with Saturdays having a cosmopolitan vibe. We have a host of traders offering some great fresh and handmade products. On Saturdays over the summer months we have a fish bar in the center of the market, you can sit and enjoy fresh seafood with a glass of local wine for lunch.
As part of LYLM week we will be celebrating our market and encouraging people to support  independent traders. The market will still be here when the Amazon van has broken down !!
