The Town Council operates the weekly Thursday market during the season Easter to Christmas and this popular attraction boasts over 35 stalls selling a wide variety of products, from fruit and veg to socks and bags, hats, beauty goods, rugs and carpets, pet foods, wool, quality Indian cuisine, adults and children’s shoes, and the popular wet fish van and meat market van to name a few; it’s well worth a visit! The market promotes the national ‘Real Deal’ charter, giving shoppers peace of mind, safe in the knowledge that no counterfeit or illegal goods are offered for sale by any trader. There are also other speciality markets through the year; look out for the popular Continental Market at Easter and during the Summer season. And our Christmas craft and gift market in December.
