This blend of regular rhythm, specialist flair and seasonal celebration makes Ludlow Market one of Shropshire’s most distinctive community spaces — a place where every visit feels different, and every trader brings something uniquely Ludlow.
This year, Ludlow is proudly joining the national Love Your Local Market campaign — a celebration of markets across the UK that champions local traders, community spirit and the joy of making it a market day.
Here in Ludlow, we’ll be marking the campaign with a full, multi‑channel celebration designed to boost visibility, welcome new visitors and shine a spotlight on our traders.
We’ll be running a dedicated digital push across our platforms, sharing trader spotlights and vibrant visuals that capture the personality of Ludlow Market. Expect warm, community‑focused messaging and plenty of reasons to “Make it a Market Day”.
On‑site posters and campaign banners will help visitors spot what’s happening, celebrate our traders and encourage people to explore more stalls. The market will feel bright, welcoming and unmistakably “Proudly Local”.
To celebrate Love Your Local Market, we’re building on our popular seasonal events — including the free Halloween Trail, running 29–31 October. Families can pick up a trail sheet, follow clues around the market and hunt for spooky surprises hidden among the stalls. It’s a fun, free way to explore the market and meet traders, and it fits perfectly with the campaign’s focus on family‑friendly community celebration.
We’ll also be encouraging traders to join in with themed displays, friendly competitions and small interactive moments that make the market feel even more welcoming.
Love Your Local Market is all about celebrating what makes each market special — and Ludlow Market is special because of its people: the traders who bring passion and craft to their stalls, the visitors who return week after week, and the community that sees the market as part of its identity.
