The market has been at the heart of Ely community life for over 800 years. We have three main markets a week: our Charter Market on Thursday, Craft, Food & Vintage Market on Saturday and a leisurely Sunday Market. Plus Ely Farmers’ Market, now in its 25th year, which takes place twice a month alongside our Saturday Craft, Food & Vintage Market. We have Mini-Markets every Friday, which expand during holidays with streetfood options and family friendly activities. Everyone is welcome and thousands of people visit our stalls every week. We will be celebrating LYLM 2025 by continuing to run our very successful, vibrant markets and provide a service to our local community every week. Our “Foodie Fridays”, now into their fourth year, launch on Good Friday 18 April, Easter weekend. These run on the last Friday of the month from Easter to August in addition to our regular markets. From 4pm until 8.30pm, Foodie Fridays offer the chance to sample a range of diverse street food, listen to live music and meet family and friends for a pleasant evening. Ely Markets is the heart and small business hub of our local community.
