Chorley Markets

Market Place, (off Cleveland Street), Chorley PR7 1BH, UK

Chorley’s popular markets date back to 1498 with the most popular market day being a Tuesday. If you’re visiting Chorley today you will find two main markets; Chorley covered market, which makes up the heart of the town and operates four days a week and Chorley’s Tuesday market, which is located outdoors along the streets of Chorley town centre.

Chorley’s Covered Market thrives with local produce including food, drink, materials, fashion and much more. If you fancy taking a break from the shopping then don’t worry, you can do just that at our Covered Market as there are plenty of places you can grab some great food and drink.

Our 1498 at the Markets area of the covered market offers a new communal seating area surrounded by many places for food and drink, whether you wish to eat in or takeaway. This is in addition to the cafe and other food-to-go options elsewhere on the covered market.

If you visit on a Tuesday, you will also see stalls lining the streets of Fazakerley Street, Chapel Street, New Market Street, Cleveland Street and the bottom half of High Street. Each stall will be awaiting your arrival with friendly traders and delightful produce.
