Chesham Local Produce Market runs on the fourth Saturday of every month and sells high-quality food, drink and crafts from a c.25 mile radius of Chesham. You can find us in Market Square near the clock tower and on the lower end of the High Street between 10am and 2pm. Our market, run by Chesham Town Council in partnership with Sustainable Chesham, was set up 16 years ago to support local producers and reduce the food miles consumed by Chesham’s residents. We aim to create a more sustainable community, and we are proud of the great range of produce on sale. Our monthly market is a fantastic opportunity to sample items made on our doorstep and to talk to the inspiring people who make them.
What can you find at our market? We have you covered, whether you are looking for everyday staples or unusual gifts. You can choose from produce including honey, baklava, beer, oils, cheese, fudge, pickles, bread, cakes, chilli sauces and toasted sandwiches. And for crafts we have brushes, cards, candles, soaps, shampoo bars, skin and hair care, crochet, silver jewellery and wooden ornaments. We also have beautiful cut flowers and ornamental plants on sale.
We also offer pitches to volunteers from local charities and not-for-profit organisations that work diligently and have such a positive impact on our lovely market town.
We will be marking Love Your Local Market by celebrating the people who make our market what it is – our hardworking traders, who turn up with a smile and tempting produce no matter the weather, and our volunteers. For LYLM, we want to make it a market day for our community.
