Chelmsford Indoor Market

Chelmsford Indoor Market

Bellmead, Chelmsford CM1 1LE, UK

Chelmsford’s indoor market dates to the 11th century and takes place every Tuesday to Saturday. We have easy parking in High Chelmer car park directly above the market and if you travel by bus, the bus interchange brings you right to the heart of the market.
The indoor market has something for everyone, all under one roof. Many of our unique family run businesses have been handed down through generations and include haberdashery, wool, picture framing, watch batteries and repairs, card stalls, hardware’s, bags, hats and luggage. If you are looking to re-cover an old chair, the foam stall will cut foam to size and if you need your bicycle repaired, this is the place to come.
We have fresh foods including a greengrocer, butcher and a cheese stall selling one of the widest varieties of cheese in the area. We have several street food stalls where you can sit and enjoy lunch or simply enjoy a coffee and cake.

We have a baby and children’s clothing stall and a huge selection of action figures and toys to keep the children occupied for hours. We have two extensive plant stalls and a furniture stall selling both indoor and garden furniture. We have an extensive bead making stall, witchcraft and spiritual and much more to explore.

Thursday is our vintage market day where we have a wide range of collectable items including war memorabilia, vintage jewellery and ornaments.
