Newark Royal Market Place will be celebrating the Love Your Local Market fortnight by hosting a range of events. Â From family friendly events to providing community support and resilience, there is something for everyone. Â Highlighting the role that markets play within a community.
One aspect is by hosting a range of community engagement events and first aid training linked to the National Youth Anti-Violence tour, otherwise known as the Knife Angel, Â The Knife Angel is currently installed in Newark Market Place.
On a different note, the Newark Market Place will be hosting French Street Theatre, with acrobatics, mime and globe walking.
Our celebration aims to highlight how the modern day market place continues to support and entertain, visitors and its own community.
