Welcome to Chelmsford Indoor Market at the heart of the city centre! This year we will once again be joining in the vibrant celebrations with Concrete Canvas Street Art Festival. The Market has one of the largest walls in the city ready to be admired far and wide! In addition to this wall, we have a community workshop, lead by local Artist BraveArts, whose collaboration with a local children’s charity, will adorn our new pop-up area inside our North Hall, helping us create a community space ready for all events!
Right in the middle of this years campaign, we host our 3rd and final regional heat for the national Young Trader Markets competition! We have been so impressed by the standard of traders emerging through, such innovative ideas, great attitudes and showing a positive outlook for the future of Markets! Join us on the 23rd May to support the next generation in Market Square!
We always love the LYLM campaigns, however, this year holds a special purpose for us here in Chelmsford. Our fabulous Market Manager, Pauline, is celebrating 10 years here in charge! Keep an eye out for social media posts and interviews, looking back over her time here with us and the impact she has made. An incredible transformation from drab and dull, to the bright, community linked, customer focused, community hub we have today. This year for us, we say thank you to Pauline, and invite friends and visitors to Chelmsford to celebrate LYLM 2026 with us!
