Darlington Market is a small victorian indoor market that has recently been reinvented to widen its appeal through the introduction of a Street Food Hall, several new contemporary units to attract new, exciting businesses, all while retaining the historic charm of it’s traditional trader base and outer markets.

We will be celebrating the LYLM campaign by having a flurry of new businesses open their doors and encouraging the town to come down and see what their market has transformed into.

Shape: Patisserie & Bake is a brand new concept of a bakery, patisserie school, and bar rolled into one that will take over a previously empty unit that is located on what was once the historic Bakehouse Hill. Alongside this we have an Italian Deli providing specialist produce during the day and delicious small plates by night, and a traditional Fish & Chips restaurant frying exclusively in beef dripping.

May will be the first opportunity to showcase Darlington Market in full swing with these grand openings enticing new customers to see our improvements, enhanced further by the draw of the S&DR200 celebration, celebrating 200 years of Darlington’s significant railway heritage.
