Saffron Walden has been a market town since 1141, winning NABMA Best small market award in 2021, Small market team of the year and Market manager of the
year in 2022. The market takes place in the Market Square twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Tuesdays has a traditional feel with Saturdays having a cosmopolitan vibe. We have a host of local traders offering some great fresh and handmade products. On Saturdays over the summer months we have a fish bar in the center of the market, you can sit and enjoy fresh fish with a glass of local wine for lunch.
As part of LYLM we will be launching our rebranding of the market, we have a new logo, leaflet, tote bags for traders to sell and a designated Social media page. Our local newspaper will be doing a little spotlight on the market with the launch of the tote bags and leaflets. We will be taking pictures of our traders and shoppers to put on social media, asking them questions about themselves and why they enjoy coming to Saffron Walden Market.
